The Jubilee Ukulele Group meets in Jubilee Hall from 10.00 to 12.00 every Thursday morning. Cost £1.

We all enjoy the company as well as learning to play the ukulele and singing along to songs such as ‘I have a Dream’ and ‘Living Doll’.

This is an inexpensive way to learn a new skill, have fun and make new friends. If you are not sure it is for you, come along and see. We can arrange the loan of a uke. You do not need to be able to read music.

Looking forward to seeing you

  • JUGS Jamboree March 2026

WOW!   What a fantastic day we had at the John Fretwell Complex, Mansfield. Eighty ukulele players from as far away as Hull, Halifax, Leicester, Derby and Doncaster, as well as those who live round about, all gathered together for a fun day. The whole gathering played together from the Jamboree Song Book with enthusiasm. Then we split into 8 random Hatband groups, each given a mystery song to work on, ready to perform later.

During lunch we were treated to 9 performances ,  Open Mic', by soloists and small groups which was a treat. In the afternoon each hatband showed off their songs to a very appreciative audience and finally we all joined in the last play-along.

The Jamboree raised £1300 for the two chosen charities, John Fretwell Complex and The John Eastwood Hospice.. Everyone left with a smile on their face, saying they had enjoyed meeting and making new friends and the hope that we would put on a similar day in the future. Well done Jubilee Ukulele Group

  • Jubilee Ukulele group concert November 2025

All our hard work was well worthwhile. On Sunday 30th November the Jubilee Ukulele Group entertained over 80 people, who joined in enthusiastically to a sing- along of popular songs and Christmas favourites. Members of the group and friends donated a large number of raffle prizes and chocolate biscuits for refreshments at the interval. I think it is fair to say A Good Time Was Had By All !!
We were delighted to be able to donate the sum £720 to the Jubilee Hall Committee. Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this possible
