Notice of Annual General Meeting
The AGM of the Dukeries u3a will take place on:
Monday 18 May 2026 at 1.00 pm at Jubilee Hall, Wellow Road, Ollerton (Doors
open at 12.30 pm)
All full members of Dukeries u3a are entitled to participate and
vote at the AGM. They are entitled to be nominated as officers or committee
members (Trustees) of Dukeries u3a.

Who is stepping down from the Dukeries U3A Committee?
Everyone! Committee members (also known as Trustees) are elected at each
AGM for just one year. At the following AGM, they step down but may be eligible to
stand for re-election to serve a further year.
Who can stand for election?
You! As long as:
- You are a full member of our U3A.
- You have not already given your maximum period of service.
- You are not an officer or committee member of any other u3a.
- Nominees must also please sign, print name, and date the first column
under Section 1 on the Charity Commission’s Trustee Eligibility Declaration.
Who must be elected?
To comply with our Constitution, we elect the Offcers: Chair, Business Secretary,
Treasurer, and Deputy Chair.
We also need a further 7 or 8 Committee members working alongside them in
other vital roles. Those other vital roles are taken on at the Committee meeting
following the AGM
All committee members have an equal say and responsibility in the running of our
charity.
To stand for election or to nominate
- Download the form(s) or ask a committee member for
copies at the March Members’ Meeting. - Nominees, proposers, and seconders must fully complete and sign a
Nomination form. - Nominees must also please sign, print name, and date the first column
under Section 1 on the Charity Commission’s Trustee Eligibility Declaration. - Return the forms to the committee at the April Members’ meeting or email them to
