  • Scarborough Seaside - afternoon pictures

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside ...

After our fabulous morning at the Fair we nipped up by coach to the South bay at Scarborough, most people started the afternoon with fish and chips at one of the many chippies and restaurants on offer, everyone seemed to have a delicious meal washed down with beers and wine and cider. with strolls along the promenade and paddles in the sea where the beach was very busy with holidaymakers enjoying the magnificent weather. More food was consumed with Cockles, Doughnuts, Milkshakes and numerous ice creams before we had to board the coach for the ride home.

Many thanks again to Leslye and team and Sergio the coach driver for the most amazing day

  • Scarborough Fair Collection - Morning pictures

All the fun of the Fair

The coach set off at 8am from Jubilee Hall with our driver Sergio who hails from Rome but now lives in Sheffield, we had a really good run to Scarborough Fair Collection (just south of Scarborough). On the way we played Bingo with the winners Paul Webb, Sue Gribby (Twice !) and Sue Brewer and watched the world go by with the fields of golden corn, wheat and barley.

We had a few hours in the Fair and we all certainly rekindled our youth with all the fun of yesteryear as you can see from the photos, you could spend a few days there and not see everything with the cars, bikes, rides, arcades, cafe, dance floor with authentic organ music.

I have never seen such jollity from our collective group and this will certainly go down as one of the best trips

Thanks must go to Leslye and the whole events team who provided snacks and water for the outward journey, let's hope we can go again !

We had a fab day on Friday. On trip to Barnsdale Gardens they are fantastic lots to see and buy of course 1st pirt of call tea room where there was good choice of food.we then went to upto Rutland water where some went for a walk. A group went down to the boat area and a few of us went on a trip was well worth the cooling effect and stunning scenery.
We returned to coach to onto Horse and Jockey pub at Manton where we enjoyed a nice meal.there was lots of laughing and chatting. We ran a raffle on the coach and drew it at pub even a local dog pulled a ticket out out for me. The raffle was done in aid of our Chariety The Air Ambulance it raised £45 that was presented to Pam Hardwick We returned back very tired but very happy and everyone throughly enjoyed it.
